Dietra D. Hawkins, PsyD is a licensed Clinical Psychologist who consults with state and local government organizations, public and private schools and behavioral health agencies as the owner and lead consultant with Both And Partners, Inc. Dr. Hawkins has over 10 years of experience supporting healthcare providers, community stakeholders and large health care systems seeking appreciative approaches toward sustainable organizational change. Dr. Hawkins has most recently helped bring over 1200 people together in small groups spread out over the City of Decatur to talk about people’s experiences with race and racism. In partnership with Out of Hand Theater, the City Schools of Decatur, the Decatur Education Foundation, Housing Authority, local community residents and business they began a conversation to help fuel equity work across many domains in the city. Using a variety of multimedia and interactive strategies, Dr. Hawkins is known to be an effective facilitator and engaging public speaker who tactful addresses tough issues people most often avoid.
