Ariel Fristoe is the founder and Artistic Director of Out of Hand Theater. Out of Hand works at the intersection of art, social justice, and civic engagement. We spark conversations to build a better world by using the tools of theater to support and enhance the work of community partners. In addition to Decatur Dinners and now Equitable Dinners, Out of Hand produces shows in homes to address issues including gun violence and mass incarceration. Through Creative Kids, we help close the opportunity gap for low-income and minority students through free in-school and after school programs at high-poverty schools. Ariel teaches arts administration and arts management at Emory.
